Holiday on Ice Spirit - March 9th-13th Cardiff International Arena
Holiday on Ice - SpiritAn exhilarating fusion of fire, air, earth and water is the theme of the sensational new Holiday on Ice production, Spirit - presented by the world's most visited ice show and five times winner of Best Event for Groups.

Celebrated artistic Director Robin Cousins MBE and choreographer Karen Kresge have co-produced a cultural extravaganza of inspirational ice skating, combining the natural beauty of the four elements with global traditions and modern rhythms. A voyage from east to west, world-class ice skaters glide from sunrise to nightfall, recreating the ethnic splendour of Asian cultures, ancient mysticism of Stonehenge and tribal gathering of Native American Indians.

Earth awakens with the sun rising in the east, while ancient wise men evoke the wind and worship the mystical forces of the tranquil element of air; a lively nymph plays in the beautiful water garden and powerful dancers summon up the fire spirits.

Musical Director, Maurice Luttikhuis explores the nature of the human spirit with an emotional and passionate score, where the haunting melody of the Chinese Warrior ice dance contrasts with the pulsing Hip Hop beat of the urban street dance number.

Holiday on Ice, and their new production Spirit, offers a complete entertainment experience for all ages, with an international award winning set, dramatic scene changes, creative lighting and a dazzling collection of over 350 extravagant costumes.

Skaters tumble from the sky in amazing, airborne gymnastics and spiral and dance on the ice with dynamic energy, performing some of the most dramatic lifts ever choreographed in a Holiday On Ice production.

Magic, enchantment and illusion are brought to life with Mystery, the latest ice spectacular from Holiday on Ice, a mystical voyage of wonder and fantasy that will leave you breathless!

Come and join the 65th celebration of world-class skating, stunning choreography and exquisite costumes, transporting you to a kaleidoscope of fantastical worlds.

From an enchanting Goblin Forest to Alice and the Mad Hatter's tea party, from the signs of the Zodiac to the darker depths of the Danse Macabre, choreographer Robin Cousins MBE and artistic director Anthony Van Laast MBE have created a masterpiece of mystical imagination.  Delve into the world of the unknown and investigate some of life's most beguiling secrets. Visit the distant shores of the mystical Orient, wonder about the true meaning of love and peer into the crystal ball to reveal your future!

Olympic standard, international skaters perform dazzling routines on and above the ice, with bold, aerial acrobatics, remarkable lifts and lively group ensembles, highlighted with beautiful lighting and dramatic back drops.

The dynamic partnership between Robin Cousins and Anthony Van Laast is a winning formula and their combined artistic talents have created some of the most successful Holiday on Ice productions including Hollywood and Fantasy.  Anthony has achieved international recognition for his choreography of award winning West End showstoppers ‘Mamma Mia' and ‘Bombay Dreams'.

For Robin, an Olympic gold medallist, winner of three professional figure skating world titles and chief judge of ITV's Dancing on Ice, Mystery has been by far the most challenging show he has ever choreographed.
He said, ‘The skaters are really put through their paces from the word go. They must convey a multitude of emotions in a packed two hours, besides delivering the technical prowess associated with my shows. I love that they make it happen every day and manage it with great humour too.'

Meanwhile Guinness World Records has officially recognised Holiday on Ice as the World's Most Visited Show. So take advantage of some great group offers and join the 320 million visitors across the world as Holiday on Ice celebrates 65 years of unrivalled entertainment!
